The chart shows the night sky from Omega Observatory’s latitude, approximately 58° N, at the stated chart time. It shows stars down to magnitude 5.5, constellation lines and names, and the Moon, planets, Ceres and Pluto when they are above the geometric horizon.
The selected date is carried between the star chart and Planning. The link above opens Planning for the same observing night, with astronomical data and a meteorological forecast when one is available.

Orientation: The chart follows astronomical sky-chart orientation, with north at the top, west to the right, south at the bottom and east to the left.
The outer circle represents the geometric horizon at 0°. Moon, planet and dwarf-planet markers are not to scale. The Moon symbol shows the current phase and whether the Moon is waxing or waning.
Method and data. The chart is calculated for Omega Observatory and the selected night. Stellar positions start from J2000.0 and are precessed to the chart time. The Moon, planets, Ceres and Pluto are plotted from topocentric positions using geometric altitude without atmospheric-refraction correction. Read more about calculation methods and sources.
