NGC 6229

The small globular cluster could be resolved into individual stars; two bright stars formed an almost isosceles triangle with the cluster.

Observation notes

NGC 6229 appeared considerably smaller than M13 and M92, but the cluster could nevertheless be resolved into individual stars. South-southeast of the cluster, two relatively bright stars were visible, HIP 82117 (mag. 8.35) and HIP 82113 (mag. 8.0). Together with NGC 6229, the two stars formed an almost isosceles triangle.
