Observation notes
PNG 025 was a very faint planetary nebula and appeared only weakly against the background. The object was small and clearly diffuse, but without clearly defined edges or discernible structure. Visually, the nebula lay between two pairs of stars. One pair included HIP 79386, the double star STF 2016, with a separation of about 7.4″. The double star was a distinct and attractive feature in the field of view.
